yes, the account has been dormant for that long to my knowledge. The amount compiled with interest is $2,100.00
In reference to the question of a 10 yr. old credit card debt.?
I agree with what shipps2007 has written but I wanted to add some stuff. When you get it in writing that this is going to settle the debt %26quot;in full,%26quot; make sure that you file that away and keep it for THE REST OF YOUR LIFE. Chances are in the future someone will call u and try to convince u that u didn%26#039;t settle and u%26#039;ll have that in writing as proof. Also, do not give them electronic access to your account. As a matter a fact, don%26#039;t give them your account number. Go get a certified check/cashier%26#039;s check and send that to them for the amount once u get the settlement letter. If you give them electronic access to your account, they WILL clean you out, so send a certified check.
Hope that helps.

Call the creditor and offer to settle the debt for the original amount, plus 10% interest. if the original debt was 1000, offer to settle for 1100. If they agree, get it in writing and pay the darn bill. Get the monkey off your back and move on with your life. Good luck!
