Anyone have a experience with any of those companies that consolidate your credit card debt and you

I%26#039;ve been told filing a Chapter 13 is better but I would rather not go that route.

I am in the same situation on wether deciding to file or consolidate. I tried to consolidate and I was scammed by LONE STAR DEBT SOLUTIONS so dont use them. I also went to Consumer Credit Counseling and they were able to offer me a plan to to get out of debt in 3 years but with a much larger monthly payment which anyone can do by paying more on the principal. I am about to go through creditsolutions.com but have read a few things on bbb.com( better business bureau) and filing sounds like a better route. So my advise is be very careful and contact the bbb before going with any company and make sure they fully explain their program before you pay. If they dont offer to explain how your bills will be paid, how soon and how they negotiate then they are probably like LONE STAR. The debt industry is full of crooked companies, its like swimming with sharks. Good Luck!

I filed bancrupcy almost 10 years ago and I have not had credit since. I tried to go through the consolidation process but then I decided to file instead. I would suggest that if you are in bad debt for alot of money then just file the bancrupcy, if you only owe a few thousand then you can consolidate. It is very hard to make it in todays times and alot of people just don%26#039;t make the money it takes to just live everyday life. Good luck in your decision and hope everything works out for you. It sure felt great not owing all the money back. Have a great day.

Debt consolidation IS an option, and you should look into it. Just be careful about WHAT you%26#039;re getting into. Some plans, because of their higher APR rates get you into more trouble than you were. Take a good hard look at all the options and plans offered, and don%26#039;t let a simgle company pressure you into something you just can%26#039;t do. Make sure that you%26#039;re comfortable with the plan offered before you commit to it.

There%26#039;s information and listings for debt consolidation providers on the page listed below. You%26#039;ll find something of use there:
