Debt Consolidation and my Credit?

I consolidated 2 of my credit card debts with a Debt Consolidation program and I am making monthly payments to the Debt Conolidation Program which in turn will pay my creditors with a negotiated amount. I understand it will have an adverse effect on my credit history but how negatively will this impact my credit and how long will it take before I have excellent credit again? I will have paid of my debts with this program in 3 years.

While it will negatively affect your credit it is better than having a charge off or a bankruptcy. One thing you can do is to pay extra, so that you get out of the program faster. Once you have completed the payment plan, you should use a credit card with a good history once a month and pay the balance off. This will show a good use of credit.
