I need a credit card and I have little credit and its all debt. What credit card company can I apply

will give me one without a bank accont or secure deposit?

I need a credit card and I have little credit and its all debt. What credit card company can I apply for that?

All the people have the right idea, Household/Orchard Bank which is under the HSBC bank umbrella. Orchard will probably your best bet to get approved, and even if you don%26#039;t you still can be approved for a secured card with them.

I need a credit card and I have little credit and its all debt. What credit card company can I apply for that?

Try Household Bank

I need a credit card and I have little credit and its all debt. What credit card company can I apply for that?

Try Orchard bank.

I like Orchard Bank and u can get an unsecure credit card..

How do i find out what my credit score is without having a credit or debt card?

If you have never had a loan or credit card you would have no credit. All three credit reporting agencies give one free credit report a year. (Experian, Equifax, Transunion)

Or there are sites where you can purchase all three at once for about $30.00-40.00. Just be careful of the site. make sure it is secure. (Lock symbol on the bottom, https instead of just http) Wal-mart sells credit reports online.

However you need a credit or debit card to buy online usually.

How do i find out what my credit score is without having a credit or debt card?

If youve never used credit, you probably dont have a credit score. Do you have a social security number?

Using credit raises your score too btw, get a couple and then hide them if you have to, or cut them up.

Can Singapore credit card debts follow me back to the US??

Living in Singapore temporarily and have a number of credit cards issued by local banks. If I fall behind on payments or can%26#039;t pay...will the debts follow me back to the US. I have no plans to return to Singapore and they don%26#039;t have my social security number.

Can Singapore credit card debts follow me back to the US??

They typically don%26#039;t follow you back for cards issued by LOCAL banks in another country.

You might want to watch out as there is a Bank of America in Singapore. I remember seeing it in 1998 and they are a global bank now.

Global banks that do business in the U.S. may be able to xfer debts internationally, but all you supplied was your Passport #.

But if you have a local Singapore bank that didn%26#039;t take your social security number, it is highly unlikely that your credit report in the U.S. will list foreign debts DENOMINATED IN FOREIGN CURRENCY (such as the Singapore dollar).

To be safe, I wouldn%26#039;t return to the Asia-Pacific Rim AT ALL if you plan to charge and dash -- Asian culture is very punitive for minor stuff.

Singapore lashes you for VANDALISM!!!

Can Singapore credit card debts follow me back to the US??

Technically, no it wont follow you back.

But most credit cards in Singapore are %26quot;licenced%26quot; by VIsa, MasterCard and American Express to issue cards in singapore on their behalf. The banks in Singapore are purely getting commission acting as an %26quot;agent%26quot;.

What does Visa, Mastercard and American Express have in common? They are all located in USA aka HQs.

It%26#039;ll take some time before the Credit card companies come back to find you; unless your debts are too low to justify a hunt for you.

Can Singapore credit card debts follow me back to the US??

No, If you permanently want to leave singapore the debt won%26#039;t follow you. But, if you don%26#039;t pay and wish to come to singapore some time in future situation could be tricky for you. Since you will be a credit card defaulter in that case.

Im new to this credit card business. I just wanted to know what happens if i dont pay off my credit

Some people panic about not paying off those credit card debts, but in reality it%26#039;s not really that big of a deal. It costs the credit card companies far more to keep going after you ad infinitum than it does just to write off the debt as a total loss and get a tax break. The worst thing that could happen is your credit report will be tarnished for 7 years, then it%26#039;s wiped from the report as if it never happened. You won%26#039;t go to jail, as someone said, that%26#039;s ridiculous. I%26#039;ve worked for a collection agency for 25 years, believe me I know what can happen and it%26#039;s not major in the grand scheme of things.

So don%26#039;t sweat it too much. Just ignore their idle threats, because they have no real substance. It%26#039;s just a scare tactic to try and get you to pay. Screw %26#039;em, get a bunch of cards, max them all out, then take bankruptcy. You%26#039;ll have everything you purchased (if you hide the merchandise), plus you%26#039;ll get to bone the corporate man, which feels positive. In 7 years you%26#039;ll be back to where you started. Heh, heh.

Im new to this credit card business. I just wanted to know what happens if i dont pay off my credit debt?

The interest with a credit card co. with break you if you dont pay the monthly payments on time.

Im new to this credit card business. I just wanted to know what happens if i dont pay off my credit debt?

The debt accumulates with interest and late charges. A collection agency comes after you. Your credit rating tanks. Your credit card gets denied. You can%26#039;t borrow money later to buy a car or furniture or a house. You won%26#039;t get hired for some jobs because background checks now include credit checks. And you%26#039;ll still OWE ALL THAT MONEY!

Im new to this credit card business. I just wanted to know what happens if i dont pay off my credit debt?

They will continue to bill you relentlessly. After time, they will turn your account over to a debt collection agency, who will also bill you relentlessly.

As unpaid credit card bills will negatively affect your credit score (nearly every single American has one) not paying your credit card will damamge your finances. You become far less likely to approved for a loan, mortgage, etc, should you attempt to apply for any of these things.

Employers may also look at your credit score.

There are many agencies whose purpose is to help you manage your debt and pay your bills on time. I suggest you search for one in your area- they may be able to lower your payments, or recommend a course of action you should take.

Im new to this credit card business. I just wanted to know what happens if i dont pay off my credit debt?

You%26#039;re a thief!

Your credit rate plummets. You could possibly go to jail. If you ever need money to buy a house or car, you%26#039;ll probably be denied.

Stealing is never good. If you%26#039;ve overspent and are having problems paying the bills, then go to a debt counselor for help. Ignoring the bills will create bigger -- much bigger -- problems in your life.

Im new to this credit card business. I just wanted to know what happens if i dont pay off my credit debt?

Coming from some one who knows if you dont pay your credit card bills you will get a bad mark on you credit report. This might not sound horrible, but good credit scores are needed to get any type of decent loan to buy a house or a car and are even considered when applying for a job. A bad score can keep you from getting a job. It may seem like a sacrifice now to have to pay back the money, but in the long run it will be worth it.

Im new to this credit card business. I just wanted to know what happens if i dont pay off my credit debt?

all the previous answers are true, in someways. they could also take you to court if you lied in your application for credit. bottom line, one way or another, you will suffer!

sure you can still get a car loan, but you will have to pay an arm and a leg in interest alone.

Do you have debt in credit card?

I have several credit cards but no debt, I pay them off when the bill arrives, I%26#039;m not giving the company all that money in interest.

I did, but we paid it off and never got a credit card again...they are evil!!! Credit card companies are predatory, impossible to pay off, unethical and should be stayed away from. They attempt to make there customers pay more and more and more in hidden fees and ridiculous policies like not only having a payment date, but time so that if the payment is received after like 2pm it is %26quot;late%26quot;. They are terrible...stay away if you don%26#039;t have them and get rid of them asap if you do.

I need a lawyers advice, my husband is being sued by a credit card CO. due to a debt. What can we do

We don%26#039;t have money to spare. We have 3 kids, mortgage and bills. He couldn%26#039;t keep making payments to the credit card CO.He%26#039;s got a job, but hi got cut on hrs. His got to go to court and we don%26#039;t have a lawyer(we can%26#039;t afford one) what can he do? Is there a solution to our situation? our debt is $6,000.dl What paper work does he needs to file? I%26#039;m desperate. Please some advice. Thanks

I need a lawyers advice, my husband is being sued by a credit card CO. due to a debt. What can we do about it?

Make sure you are actually being sued, first off. If you haven%26#039;t been summoned, you aren%26#039;t being sued. So many collection company%26#039;s blatantly violate the fair credit act, and misrepresent themselves as %26quot;liaisons to lawyers.%26quot;

Look up your local BBB, and find a reputable debt counseling service. (They should be non-profit. By Design is who my mother used.)

OR

Find a *lawyer and have them negotiate the debt. Most CC companies will settle for MUCH less then what is owed.

Most importantly, don%26#039;t let them bully you. If you get harassing phone calls, letters, misrepresentation, or they are speaking to an unauthorized person about your debt, go after them like there is no tomorrow. Contact the FTC, your state attorney generals office, and the office of the controller of currency and file complaints with all of them.

The people in this industry, generally, are nasty and underhanded. They do not care if they break federal trade laws, so make sure you call them on it!

*If you can%26#039;t afford a lawyer, go down to your local law school and they will help you, if not set you up with a student lawyer.

And don%26#039;t take it out of your 401K. The IRS will have you by the balls if you do.

I need a lawyers advice, my husband is being sued by a credit card CO. due to a debt. What can we do about it?

Wow, your debt is only $6000 that%26#039;s great. Most people are so much worse than you are. Since it sounds like you own your home and cars since your debt is so low, I%26#039;m sure you could work something out w/the creditor. You and your husband can get a partime job to pay them off. Ask for a settlement.

I need a lawyers advice, my husband is being sued by a credit card CO. due to a debt. What can we do about it?

First of all don%26#039;t let the credit card company bully you. Your debt is small. Put them off....dont pick up the phone when you see a number that you dont recognize. They are not by law able to call your relatives or contact you at work. Know your rights....they are not allowed to harass you. Every week put a little money aside. 20 bucks even. Eventually they will contact you give you a settling amount. This is usually half of what you owe. If Your debt is 6,000 they will probably settle for 3,000. But you have to let them know that you dont have the money....they can not attach your pay check. Or put a lean on your house. If you dont have money for a lawyer, thats o.k, just put money aside so you can eventually get them off your back for a cheaper amount. In the mean time..get rid of your credit cards!!! If you dont have the cash to buy something.dont buy it.

I need a lawyers advice, my husband is being sued by a credit card CO. due to a debt. What can we do about it?

If you are to the point of actually being sued, then you haven%26#039;t sent them any money for a long long time. You%26#039;ve let this go for too long to resolve it easily.

I don%26#039;t recommend credit counselors often but in your case, it may help in keeping you from getting a judgment against you. It will be WAY better for you long term to get this straightened out without going to court. However, if the court date is tomorrow or something, he better go. Not going at all would be even worse. But if it goes to court, you%26#039;re just going to get attorney%26#039;s fees and court costs tacked on to what you already owe.

Get some help. I%26#039;ve posted a couple links below. The first is the department of justice approved credit counselors for bankruptcy. This doesn%26#039;t mean you are filing for bankruptcy. It%26#039;s just some reputable counselors by state that you can call. I%26#039;ve also posted a link to Consumer Credit Counseling. They%26#039;ve been around a long time and have a pretty good reputation. Call someone. Get some help.

I need a lawyers advice, my husband is being sued by a credit card CO. due to a debt. What can we do about it?

Settling isn%26#039;t a bad idea but you need a money source for the settlement whether it be your tax return, borrow from a 401k , or tap into your home%26#039;s equity. I recommend a cash out refinance of the home to get a better rate , payoff debts, and possibly lower your payment since you are so strapped for cash. I also recommend Hamlin Mortgage as they have helped many folks out in the past. You can contact them via the online evaluation form at

Good luck.

My credit sucks cuz of uninsured medical debt. If put on mothers credit card will it affect her cred

Basically I went into the hospital 2 years ago and I didn%26#039;t have a job. I left after 2 days with about 14,000 in debt. Besides some unpaid tuition this is all the debt that I owe, doctors, ambulance ride, etc. I asked my mother if she%26#039;d mind adding me as a user on her credit card. She initial said yes but now has reservations thinking I may somehow bring down her score. I%26#039;m not sure where to find the answer on this. I%26#039;m working now...but I don%26#039;t make much so I can%26#039;t even begin to start paying the debt, plus it seems pretty insurmountable anyways. Toying with the idea of declaring bankruptcy just to get my head above water. I don%26#039;t have a credit card, never have had one and now, can%26#039;t get one on my own. I don%26#039;t have the money for a deposit on a secured card. Just not sure what to do.

My credit sucks cuz of uninsured medical debt. If put on mothers credit card will it affect her credit score?

If you are asking if your collections will show up on your mother%26#039;s credit, the answer is No they will not. The only way that adding you as an authorized buyer would bring down her credit score is if you charge up on her credit card and don%26#039;t pay it off and on time. Placing you as an authorized buyer on her card would help your credit. It would report to the credit bureau as a satisfactory trade, which is good. A common term for this is %26quot;piggy-back credit%26quot; which simply means that she would be sharing the good credit she has established on that particular credit card with you. For example: if she opened that credit card in 1990 and has paid it on time every month, then it would appear that you have had a credit card since 1990 and have paid it on time every month also. This would boost your credit score. Once your credit score is boosted you will probably be able to get a credit card-but if you want one because you need one then that will be digging a deeper hole. The APR you will qualify for will be outrageous and you%26#039;d never get it paid off. I guess what I am saying is A. just don%26#039;t charge up her card! and B. medical collections are better than credit card collections. (many banks understand a medical collections and are more lenient for those than for a credit collection-so if you are wanting a card to charge the medical collections then don%26#039;t do it-it%26#039;ll hurt your credit more) I hope this helps and good luck!

My credit sucks cuz of uninsured medical debt. If put on mothers credit card will it affect her credit score?

It won%26#039;t bring down her score as long as the bill gets paid in a timely manner.

Also, you might consider getting a secured card. Bank of America offers a %26quot;partially secured credit card%26quot; where you open a savings acocunt with $99 and you get a card with a $500 limit. Successful payment on it gets you credit line increases after awhile, and after a year, it becomes an unsecured card.

My credit sucks cuz of uninsured medical debt. If put on mothers credit card will it affect her credit score?

Call Social services dept for that hospital. They will advice you if there are programs to help you decrease that debt or settle to pay $10.00 a month or so. If your mother purchase that debt w/her credit card and don%26#039;t make any payment (plus super high c.card interest) you mom%26#039;s credit will also get ruinned. About student loan, call them and tell them you are not working in the fields you studied and see about applying for forbideance. This will delay your next payment due date to whatever time frame (usually 2 + years) they approved.

Try your best NOT to get in more debts until these 2 are paid or almost paid for. After 6 months you should be able to apply for secured c. cards to start re-building an outstanding credit history.

Good luck,

My credit sucks cuz of uninsured medical debt. If put on mothers credit card will it affect her credit score?

This could actually be beneficial to both you and your Mom but ONLY if you make the monthly credit card payments. By paying off the complete debt with the credit card, your debt will be seen as %26quot;paid%26quot;, thus giving you a better credit rating. Also, by paying the monthly credit card payments on time, your Mom will also get a better credit rating. However, if the monthly credit card payments are not made on time, then your Mom will get a bad credit rating while you still look %26quot;good%26quot; because your debts are paid off. So if your Mom agrees to this, make sure you can make the monthly payments until the debt is paid off. Otherwise, your Mom will carry your burden and have to legally pay if you can%26#039;t.

Also, you may want to try this. My ex-wife gave birth to our son when we had no insurance. I was unemployed at the time and for the birth and 1 day in hospital, we had a bill of over $5,000 (in 1996). I also thought abut bankruptcy and went to a lawyer. He suggested that (and depending on what state you live in), that I should contact the doctor and hospital to state my situation. Both the Doctor and the Hospital cut their fees dramatically down to around $2000. I worked out with them that I pay the Doctor $50/month and the Hospital $50/month until I become gainfully employed. They realized that by cutting their fees, they would still get more from me than if I filed for bankruptcy. Plus, being in the Healthcare business, most providers will try to work out something that is beneficial to all parties since it is their duty to provide healthcare no matter the income level of their patients.

My credit sucks cuz of uninsured medical debt. If put on mothers credit card will it affect her credit score?

Have a look here.

My credit sucks cuz of uninsured medical debt. If put on mothers credit card will it affect her credit score?

depends on the amount you owe and the amount of available credit she has. about 32% of your score is based on ailable credit vs amount owed, keep all balances less than 50% of available. and dont miss any payments becasue 35% is based on payment history.

also hospitals will usually lower amount owed for a fast pay off offer them 10% of the balance if they will update your report to show %26quot;Paid, Closed/Never late%26quot; or %26quot;payed as agreed%26quot;. if they respond with a counter offer negotiate(usually they wont take less then 40% but low ball em first). if they agree send them a check with a copy of the original letter that they agreed to and send a copy of their response letter to the credit bureau. after 31 days re-dispute all the items that are derogatory in your credit file. You should keep negotiating with your creditor till you have achieved a result. follow up on the phone. Send your letters through certified mail so that you can record all your correspondences done with them.

My credit sucks cuz of uninsured medical debt. If put on mothers credit card will it affect her credit score?

If you pay it all off, how long will that take? If you file for bankruptcy, it will affect your credit for 10 years. See what you can have forgiven at the hospital. Call them! But bankruptcy sounds like the best bet, probably. I%26#039;d look into it. Realize it will cost you about $1500 to hire the attorney. Still talk to a lawyer and see if it%26#039;s the way to go.

What I don%26#039;t get is, why do you need a credit card? Just get an ATM card with your bank account, and it has a credit card symbol on it. You can use it for just about anything, except renting a car, and you won%26#039;t be running up more debt.

If I was your mom, I would not take on the debt. That will make her responsible for it. If she can%26#039;t pay it, it will of course affect her credit. Don%26#039;t even ask her to do this. Accept the consequences of this debt on yourself.

My credit sucks cuz of uninsured medical debt. If put on mothers credit card will it affect her credit score?

It would have nothing to do with her credit, If anything boost hers, no one knows what she is spending the money on.

My credit sucks cuz of uninsured medical debt. If put on mothers credit card will it affect her credit score?

WHAT ARE YOU NUTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...

If you KNOW you CAN%26#039;T PAY

WHY you are going to give that PROBLEM TO YOUR MOM???????????????????????????

If the credit card gets full and you dont pay more than the minimun you will NEVER PAY IT BACK, you but only you shut file bacarupsy or wherever is the spelling for that, so you dont give your mother a hard time with her credit card, thats for her just in case of an emergency, what about she needs medicene or something hapends and her credit card is FULL, how good is that?

My credit sucks cuz of uninsured medical debt. If put on mothers credit card will it affect her credit score?

I am in concurrence with most of the people in regards to negotiating with the hospital, student loans, can%26#039;t do anything about that, the best thing to do is contact the Consumer Credit Counseling, it%26#039;s a non-profit organization and they will negotiate the settlement amount and payment plan for you. As for the credit card, you never know what will happen, so go the secured credit card route. Orchard Bank will take as little as $150 deposit.

My credit sucks cuz of uninsured medical debt. If put on mothers credit card will it affect her credit score?

Thak gad I live in Canada. We have Universal Health care.

My credit sucks cuz of uninsured medical debt. If put on mothers credit card will it affect her credit score?

DON%26#039;T DO THIS TO YOUR MOTHER!! Even though you have the best intentions we all know that mom is that LAST person that ever gets paid! I know this from experience. I loaned a credit card to my son so he could do some needed repairs on his house...he had a really good job but did not have the cash needed to do the repairs. The %26quot;store%26quot; has 6 months same as cash...you%26#039;ve all heard the ads on TV.. so I let him have my card... and he made repairs. He paid the payments well. So the next time he needed the card I had no qualms letting him %26quot;borrow%26#039; my card for more repairs... and he started making the payments as before. This bill was much higher but he was still working so I though nothing of it. Then I started getting calls from the credit card company...no payment had been made for 2 months... I asked my son. His wife%26#039;s family had medical problems so he had loaned them money....and hadn%26#039;t received enough paycheck to make all the payments so he had to let %26quot;some go%26quot; and figured he would pay me back... I thought he was making the payments and hadn%26#039;t looked at the most recent bill...had filed it along with all the rest. I have been making those payments now for nearly 2 years.... his wife%26#039;s family fell on hard times, moved in with him, he lost HIS job... and guess what... they all live on MY property....everyone knows that MAMA won%26#039;t let the kids do without...DON%26#039;T DO THIS TO YOUR MAMA!!
