I have a small amount of debt (mostly credit card) how can i consolidate it or pay it off quickly?

I just got out of school last may 2006, then in January of 2007 I decided to go back to school to get my teaching certificate. I will be done in May 2009, so my income isn%26#039;t as much as I would like. I was wondering if there is a place that is trustworthy that I consolidate my credit card payment, my paypal buyers credit, and my dell account into one place so I can have one monthly payment so I can pay it off quickly.

One other question is there a way I could get them all defered till I%26#039;m out of school again, where I can start working full time? Or is there a place I can get a lower interest rate loan to pay all of them off with, and then defer that payement until after school? I just want to get all my geese in a line! I hate paying several different bills!

If I may make a suggestion - Don%26#039;t do the consolidating..... to my understanding they basically tell your creditors that you can%26#039;t pay them, but if they do a settlement they will get paid now and the creditor usually agrees, but marks it off as bad debt or something like that and closes the account.... or something like that...... I did hear it hurts your credit score big time........

I suggest contacting a credit counselor (a non profit one) or even contacting Suze Orman at http://suzeorman.com and she will be glad to help you......... But from what I heard (and if I remember right it was on a episode of Suze Orman which airs Saturday nights on MSNBC that it does hurt your credit if you consilidate......

Also, to pay them off quickly.... start with the one with the least amount (lets call this card 1) and pay extra on that one..... once paid off and if you can afford it take the payment and if possible the extra payment that you would have paid on Card 1 above and apply it to your next card with the least amount, etc, etc..... until all is paid......

I did forget to mention to also pay the one with the highest interest rate of first and as quickly as possible as this will also save you quite a bit of $$....... Report It

Re-read my post to you and forgot to put that when you have the first one paid off, take the payment and any routine extra payments that you made on the first one and add it to the regular payment on the second Report It

1st debt is paid off and your regular payment was lets say $50.00 a month and you paid $75.00 a month

your 2nd debt you let%26#039;s say that your paying them $30.00 a month, now that the 1st one is paid off Report It

take that payment of $75.00 a month and add it to the $30.00 a month payment to the 2nd debt making payments of $105.00 a month... on the 3rd debt you continue to add the payments that you were making from the previous debt..... etc..... Report It

you can probably see how this will pay them down,,,, get the negatives (if there are any) off your credit report and pay less in the long run since you are paying more each payment which should be applied to the principal Report It

and try not to add more debt to the cards when paying them off. Also once the credit cards are paid off if you have to charge anything to them try to keep it at a minimum so you can pay it in full when the bill comes in or at least 80 to 90 % of it........ Report It

sorry with out equity or something for colateral dought you could get a loan to consalidate all debt. i followed the dave ramsey plan for finatial independens set a budget

Don%26#039;t ya love how they push credit cards on college students?? Now you know why? I learned the hard way too. Have you considered tranfering the balances to 0% cards until you get working?
